WITNESSES REACTION TO FACING DEATH......
by Mary ini went to see someone in my old hall last night, who's recently been diagnosed with cancer.
she's only in her late 40s, healthy, so this was a shock when i found out about it the other night.
apparently it's gone in to her liver and her doctor has not given her any hope of surviving it, although they're going for a second opinion, as the doctors in our area are notoriously incompetent.. even though i stopped going to the meeting 2 years ago, i thought going to see her was the human thing to do, since she studied with me when i was 15 years old and i thought it would maybe be comforting for her to talk to someone else who had had cancer.

Suggestions for a cranky, stressed husband....all suggestions welcome.....
by restrangled inmy poor guy is crabbier than hell.
i have kept him well fed, but it doesn't seem to do the trick.
i am calling on all men out there to tell me what to do and i know sex is an answer too, but is there anything in addition to this you guys wish for when work/life is stressing you out?.

My son no longer goes to meetings
by TweetieBird ini have one son that chose to get baptized last year.
he faithfully went to all the meetings, even auxillary pioneered one month even though the rest of us stayed home and carried on with our normal life.
we never tried to discourage him, even though we hated seeing him get sucked into it.

Great post........I feel very sad when I hear stories like this. .............. I am even starting to think that there must be some subliminal messages to JWs to actually go out and lure & marry non-believers. Even to go as far as get yourself DF'd, find a worldly, get re-instated...... try and convert - just to keep peace in the house some do! This process might be more successful than door 2 door! ......... but instead of Marry only in the Lord (because this kind of marriage is not in the Lord) ........I think the more appropriate line is don't be unevenly yoked. WT slaves and free beings - Christian or otherwise - do not mix!

(2 peter 3:10) 10 yet jehovahs day will come as a thief, in which the heavens will pass away with a hissing noise, but the elements being intensely hot will be dissolved, and earth and the works in it will be discovered.. other translations say the earth will "burn up".. nkj: but the day of the lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.. ylt: and it will come -- the day of the lord -- as a thief in the night, in which the heavens with a rushing noise will pass away, and the elements with burning heat be dissolved, and earth and the works in it shall be burnt up.. same goes for every other translation i've found.. the word in question, katakaio according to the lexicons i've seen only point to the meaning of: burn & consume by fire.. where did the nwt get "discovered" from?.

It looks like the word discovered tho, in JW terms has been misused. wording English sentences with the out of sequence Greek. Nothing will be hidden, nothing that is old will survive.

it's pink and long and very fluffy.
